High Hopes!

 

Hello there! I hope 2011 has been ok for you so far. Karina and I have had rather stressful (to say the least) starts to 2011 but things are gradually coming together. At this very moment I'm surrounded by all of the furniture from my bedroom and my husband and I are decorating. At some point soon I'll do some posts of the kitschy bits and bobs I've got for the place. For now though I shall leave you with a song that cheered me up no end during all of the stress...

Vintage Christmas Cards

Whilst searching youtube for my Christmas song selections last week I came upon an amazing channel called Peggy Loves Vintage, which is scanned vintage cards set to music. You name the occassion and there are cards for it. Inspired by these cards I've decided that I'll share with you my own old Christmas cards later on this week. Mine aren't as old as some of these (they're from my first Christmas in 1983) but they are rather kitsch. 

Here are some of my favourite Christmas cards from Peggy Loves Vintage's youtube. She also has an etsy store and a website where you can purchase high quality copies of the cards to disc and use them for your own desires!

Dear Santa...

We hope that buy now you've written your letter to Santa Claus and your nice list massively outweighs your naughty one. To celebrate old Mister Claus here are some marvellously kitschy and downright weird pictures of the man, the legend himself!
